You're exactly right.... but what do you mean? Square Enix had to shove it in there somewhere...
They could of shoved it in with a new name. final fantasy isn't supposed to be MMORPG's. It just breaks the theme of the final fantasy games.

Good point. They could have just started a brand new series. Perhaps that would have been better. It would have left me the huge FF fan pleased with the old ones, and not frustrated over how this is supposed to be a FF game.

I know FFXI has alot of updates Ive done several updates in little over a two weeks for Epic Gamming here in waukesha. Try to  unfreaze 30 computers then update em all at once (several games at once sometimes) and then re freaze em when its done. Its a pain.

I never really got into the final fantasy series. I didn't want to get sucked in.

They charge $100 for the PS2 version, and you still have to pay a monthy fee. But for the PS2 version, you get the hdd along with the game.

MMORPGs arnt really that bad when it comes to the monthly thing. What i did i when out and bought 90 days worth of time for city of heros for only $30 (30days came free w/ sign up so its realy 60 days for $30). I once thought as you guys did but now im adicted to this game. You gotta remember that 90 days is a long time too. So I got alot of gameplay i can do. $30 for 60 days isnt really that bad, I mean alot of people spend $30 in a day. Its $2 a day to play city of heros. Pluss most people only have time for one MMORPG. So its not as expensive as you think. Hell its gunna be early december before i have to go out and buy more time. Totaly I payed $80 for COH and the time card. I didnt think it was to bad. Plus they constantly keep upgrading it so thats an added pluss. Hell look at the other games you only get patches like once or twice a year. But seriously Its fun. Its a really cool gamming experiance. I want you guys to at least try one MMORPG in your live time. Then come back to me and tell me what you think...

Crossfire I love it being a 2D MMORPG. I play it a lot some days when I've got nothing else to do, atleast it isn't a memory hog lol...

I would have liked to play it, but I couldn't get the game to install right. I had GTK and everything, now it doesn't want to work...

Maybe its being annoying because I am on dialup. But then again, the graphics are only 2D so it shouldn't matter.

You could have the wrong version of GTK too. I have to use GIMP 1.2.5 since 2.0 ran one time then refused to ever work again after reinstalling and everything. I haven't figured that one out yet, and it's a GTK program aswell, but if I figure it out I'll tell you so you could try and get it figured out on your end..

I was using the latest build of GIMP and GAIM. They should have had the latest GTK stuff, but maybe the game requires the lower GTK builds.
