Well for one it wasn't like you were paying me for your hosting and two it wasn't like your site was going anywhere. I did feel like paying 30 bucks a month to host someone elses site.

No not really. For one he did not buy the domain himself. ZerX bought the domain for him using their domain reseller account thing they have with hostdime. Sure they could at least answer you but they are probably not giving you the info for your domain because you weren't the one that originally bought it and don't know the domain password. They are doing it more for their protection because if you weren't really who you claimed to be and they did give you the info for the domain, the real owner of the domain could sue them.
Hostdime is one of the better hosting companies out there. Their support is excellent and so is their uptime. Pricing is also pretty awsome for the features that they include.
