I am trying to make a boot cd that is command based. However, I need it to read NTFS paritions. Does anyone know how to do this? Remember, i'm looking for something free or pretty damn cheap. (Less than $25).

What are you trying to do with the CD and does it have to be command based? You could always build a Windows XP BART CD. The program to do this can be found at
http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/
. If you have access to MSDN or TechNet then you could always get a copy of Windows XP OEM Preinstallation Environment which is basically a copy of Windows XP that runs off of the CD. I have I have a copy Of Windows XP OEM PE but I have yet to play around with it a whole lot.

I tried BartPE and I can use that....however, it takes a while for it to boot up (even if you don't put a GUI on it). I'm trying to basically find DOS on cd that can read and write to NTFS. Any other ideas?
