I haven't really searched around for this because I wouldn't know what I'd need and wanted to know if any of you had any suggestions or reccomendations for this already. So what I basically want to do is to be able to play the ps2 disks through the computer. Since they don't have games like Gran Turismo and the like on PC it'd be a good alternative to try out. So anyone know of where I could get some software to run something like this? All feedback welcome!

You could take everything out of the ps2 and put it into your computer case and hook the video / audio up to your current monitor and speakers.  But that sounds like work.

Yeah I was hoping to see if anyone here has done it before and would know some tricks and stuff around it. I'll give it a day or so then go to researching.

You need a PS2 emulator found at http://www.arcadeathome.com Unfortunately, the only PS2 emu out there only plays demos, not full games.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that ps2 games are on a dvd so you would also need a dvd-rom in your computer.

I already know how to use the internet and don't need a stupid book to tell me how.

I figured that one out on my own... smiley

Though Gateway has delayed my replacement drive even longer, it needs replaced, so I'll just keep looking into this in the meantime anyways...

Have you called them back lately?  They might have cancelled your order because they shipped it out of the wrong warehouse.  I am not kidding about that either.  I have had that happen to me twice when I was ordering replacement parts for gateways.
