What are your thoughts on this card? I just recently purchased it and am very happy with it so far. As a side note I had a 16 MB Intel Extreme integraded graphics card previously. So moving up to a 128 MB card is a great improvement.
And I also had one question about it that one of you might be able to answer. When I first installed it and booted up it booted up in 640*480 and in 8bit color but when I went to the display options and went to change the color settings and all I saw that it would go past 1600*1200. I left it at 640*480 and 8bit and went on to install the drivers, rebooted, then when I went to change the resolution I only had 800*600 and 1240*768. Was it just like that because that's the maximum it was able to go up to and now it won't go that high because of my monitor? (By the way my monitor is a 15 inch) I was just curious about it becuase 1600*1200 would greatly help out in some of the graphics programs I run and things like that.

That would be because your monitor doesn't support that high of resolution. When the drivers are installed, windows will only display resolutions that your monitor supports. Even if your 15 inch monitor could support 1600 x 1200, you wouldn't be able to see anything because it would be so small.

That's what I was thinking, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks for clarifying.

I have a 5200 as well it depends on the monitor you use really, if you want you can override it in your advanced settings but it will just say that it is out of range or something like that. But I like my 5200 it is a nice little card.

If you are able to over ride the the settings, running your monitor at higher resolutions than it supports can damage your monitor.

Considering the monitor is only set to run at a certian hertz rating. I wouldn't suggest messing around with that...

I wouldn't mess around with it either. It is set to have a maximum resolution and refresh rates for a reason.
