Hi what can I do if I bought the wrong cpu RE: socket type.
My board has socket 939 for its cpu, I bought the am2 in error.
I doubt I can return it.

If you can't do it you have two options:

1) Buy an AM2 motherboard

2) Try to sell the processor on ebay or somewhere else.
