hi, i have a Gigabyte GA-7ZX-1 rev 1.0 motherboard and i was using a 1300MHz athlon before. i bought an XP 2600+ t-bred B with 266fsb. so i thought it should work at 1600MHz (16x100) since my mobo doesn't support 133MHz fsb... it posted as an Athlon XP but at 1100MHz and in My Computer Properties it shows as XP 1100MHz.. but in CPU-z it shows as Duron Applebred core with multiplier at 11x and the L2 cache is only 64KB, i tried to cut the l3 bridges but i think i screwed up there since it was at 11x for the multiplier to start with, after cutting them I'm at multiplier of 10x.. then i tried the wire trick by putting in thing wires into the socket but that didn't work either... can anyone help me out? huh
