only one core registering on my athlon 64 x2

I have just installed an athlon 64 x2 4200 and it is only registering as having 1 core on cpu z. Can anyone help me on how to fix this, does i need to change the bios settings?

check the bios settings. You can sometimes disable the 2nd core
