I bought a new Mac a few days ago and I have liked it so far, except for one thing. I can't get it online. Where I live we can only get dialup, so I have to use it to connect. My mac doesn't have a modem, so I have to use my PC to connect, and from there I would enable sharing on the PC and hook it up to my router. The Mac is assigned an IP and so is the PC. The Mac can reach the PC because I tested it running Apache on the PC. Safari loaded pages on my home Apache server just fine, but I cannot get it to connect to the net.

Nevermind, I got it to work. I had to play with Windows for awhile, but I have it working now.

Yeah, using Windows ICS can be tricky at times.  It can either setup flawlessly or take a lot of playing around to get working properly.

Also I know that the their was a model of the Apple Airport that had a built in modem.  That would be another option for you.
