Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum, I just hope that Bill doesn't schedule a press conference about this and try to turn us all into mindless zombies.  Why does the press have to do this mess, I mean I know they have their freedoms, but this gets people (especially Mac people) mad.  I mean Microsoft already sells Microsoft Office for Mac, thats enough, and their having a war with opensource as well. I mean come on.

C'mon guys the whole Apple thing is so easy to figure out. What is Apple trying to do? Get back the computer industury... What does Apple want more than anything? To beat Microsoft... Its an obvious foreshadowing of the already decieded battle.

What does that have to do with Microsoft patenting an apple tree, though?

What are you trying to say?  You have me confused as well.  What you said could mean tons of different things.

The foreshawdowing is sorta redundant, but it is pretty much saying what has already been done in action. Microsoft bought the Apple to say "Hey, we already know we dominate Macintosh, but lets kick some more dirt in their eyes but pateting an apple", hence the "already decieded battle.

The apple tree was patented by accident, and Microsoft notified the Patent Office of this.

Besides, how is patenting a type of apple tree "kicking  some more dirt in their eye"? Why would any of Microsoft's competitors care about an apple tree?

Well they wouldn't really, in fact they shouldn't. As for "kicking dirt in their eyes" it seems to be a cheap shot towards Apple. Its just funny to see them patent an Apple tree, alomost saying that "This is what is going to happen to you eventually" Even though I doubt it ever will, and it was an accident, it is quite funny.

I believe that is a classic line from a Garfield comic when he utters that Binky the clown should be drug out in the street and shot.
