It all depends on the motherboard. You might be able to find out your motherboard model by using a program such as CPU-Z.
You can download CPU-Z from
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
. All the motherboard info would be on the Mainboard tab. When you figure out the model number, you can try looking around to see what processors and processor speeds the motherboard supports. If you can't find anything, then please feel free to post the model number here and we might be able to help you.

That would probably be the bios version. The motherboard manufacturer and model number are up at the top of the screen under the motherboard section. If you still are having problems would it be possible to post a screenshot of everything displayed on the mainboard tab.

That is odd. Would it be possible to look on the motherboard for a manufacturer name and model number? I couldn't really tell you anything for sure without knowing the manufacturer and model of the motherboard.
Looking at the date of the bios, it would probably just be best to get a new motherboard, processor, and ram. It would probably end up to be more of a worthwhile upgrade.
