Does any MB support a  PCI e video card, socket 478 CPU and ddr2 memory mode combination?  My guess is that the PCI -e MBs were designed only with the socket 775's in in mind, but then maybe I'm wrong.

Seek to build a unit with a bunch of used parts.

Thanks for any advice or input you may be able to render.

A socket 478 motherboard with PCI-E is very rare as it is.  The only two I know about are the Asus P4V800D-X and the Asus P4RD1-MX.  However, neither of these boards support DDR2.

If you do find anything, please let us know.  I would definatly be interested in your findings.

I am going to buy a intel mainboard. So what should I need to follow while buying a motherboard.
