BEcause i plan on upgradin my Memeroy i wasnt sure which one would performe better and faster.  Im a Corsair Fan so i wasnt sure if the 1 Gig (512 x 2) DDR2 240 pin Xms series would performe / work faster than the 2 gig(1g x 2) Vaule select pair. If anyone has any ideas on good ram for the price range of 100-150 tell. THX

What exactly are you planning on doing with the ram that this computer is going into?  If you are going to be overclocking and gaming then I would suggest that you go with the 1GB of XMS.  However, if you are going to be doing things like video editing, etc. then I would suggest you go with the 2GB of Value Select.

While there are programs to overclock your processor, it is usually best just to do it through the bios.  Also if you are going to be overclocking, I would definatly go with the XMS over the Value Select.  From what I have heard, G.Skill is supposed to have some pretty good overclocking ram as well.

What CPU and motherboard are you running, and do you plan to overclock at all?

YEa I have Dell and i was told that they lock the BIOS and i wont be able to do any type of overclocking so ill just go w/ the 2 gig Value.  Unless there is a way of bypassing it.

Maybe I just hate how nice the corsair is, but I've always gone with cheaper stuff. Right now I have 2x512 of crucial 2700, but I would probably go corsair in the future.

Some good ram:
Kingston HyperX
Mushkin (NICE)
Corsair XMS

The value-select is pretty good if you want to get lots of decent ram for not as much cash.
