Is there a way to remove the DRM from a file or get around it so I can play music ripped from these CDs in iTunes instead of Windows Media or the stuipd flash player on the CD itself?

That might do what you are looking to do.  Also just to let you know, Sony has recalled all their cds that included the DRM "rootkit".

Not exactly what I was looking for.  I've already got rid of thier sneaky rootkit, I was just wondering if there was a way to remove or change the DRM on the individual files ripped from the cd.  As it is, they have it so that the files only come off the cd in WMA format which does my iPod no good.  I have read that they will replace the cds though no information on how that is to work nor if you will be able to rip in formats other than WMA.  I was hopeing for some sort of solution otherwise.

I know... doesn't help me with my Switchfoot cd though.  :/
