Hi,
I've just got a HP XW6200 and I want to put an extra CPU in it. I've looked on the HP website and the extra processor is about £800 it's a 3.4 XEON MNF# DY668A. I have noticed that I can by the same spec INTEL branded one for £400 MNF# BX80546KG3400EP.
Could anyone tell me is there any difference between the two processors and would I be able to run them together in the same system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Would it be possible to provide a link to the pages with the two different processors. I couldn't tell you for sure without seeing the specs of the two processors but as long as they are both the exact same thing, then they should work.

Neither page gives me a whole lot of information but from what I can tell, they are both the same thing. The only thing is that if you buy a processor upgrade from somewhere other than HP, you will probably void the warrantee on computer.
