Hi,
I need to run a workstation and I have tried vmware 5 and 4.5 but they say I need 686 cpu or higher.
My sys is ...Processor x86 Family 5 Model 8 Stepping 12 AuthenticAMD ~504 Mhz

sorry I dont know much about computers..can anyone advise, maybe know of an ol workstation that my cpu will run??

You might want to try Virtual PC.  I have used it in the past and it is a pretty good application.

How much ram do you have in your computer?  Running a "virtual pc" can require a lot of ram and processing power.  You might want to consider upgrading your current computer or buying/building a new one.

You will definatly need more than 64mb of ram.  I personally wouldn't try running a virtual machine on anything less than 1.5ghz with 512mb of ram.
