Is there such a program that will take 2 computers and basicially sync their information?  I want my tower and laptop to be exact copies of each other so that way I don't have to worry about forgeting to transfer projects from one system to the other.

Basicially it would nightly scan both harddrives see which files one system has that one doesn't and transfer them over, or if a file exists on both systems but one is a newer version transfer over the newer verson to the system that has the older version.

Does such a program even exist?

Assuming you might be using Windows wouldn't Microsoft's Briefcase feature work?

If you want to copy the whole machine, there are better options - you said you wanted pretty much exact copies. But for data, the briefcase is the simplest solution.
