Hey guys, I was planning on buying a laptop (dell c400) from dell financial services (www.dfsdirectsales.com) but I heard some bad things. For one, I heard don't pay with a check - it signs you up for things- and the financing programs are a scam. I will be paying straight up with a credit card anyway, so it shouldn't matter, but I don't want to get scammed. I want to know if anyone had any experience buying from them, and what it was like. The deal is sweet, but is it too sweet.... Thanks, -Bill

I have never heard of DFS Direct but have you considered getting a refurbished laptop directly from Dell?

I have never ordered for any of those companies but I came across them a few weeks ago when a friend wanted me to find him a nice refurbished laptop.  In the end he ended up ordering a brand new laptop.

Yeah, it's like dell outlet and it's even sponsered by dell. Dell outlet stopped carrying this model, and dfs still does. Thank you for the links though, good stuff. -Bill
