ok, i saw an app on tss where u could share a mouse and keyboard over a network. like when when u moved the cursor all the way to one side of the monitor it would switch the keybord and mouse to the otehr comp. i want this cuz im cheap and dont wanna have to but a physical switch for it.

thanx

The program you are looking for is called Synergy. Its open source and is avaible at Sourceforge. I have used it, as well as many of my friends and we all love it.

It seems to me that a KVM would be much easier and use up less space then only having 1 keyboard and mouse but still needing multiple monitors.

Oh, but its not. I love this program. Plus there is just the major cool factor of seeing your mouse go from monitor to the monitor. I mean, the program could be better, but it is still something to check out.

I have never been intrigued by watching a mouse cursor going across different monitors but I guess whatever floats your boat.  Tongue

I only have room for 1 monitor on the desk in my bedroom and I love being able to have up to 4 computers in my room if need be.
