I would have to say a nice flavor of BSD... although I have to admit that I use Windows XP most often.

Probably any Linux distro for my favorite. But for the one I use most it would probably be XP as I can use all my games and programs on there easiest...

Since it is my OS, of course I am going to say AceOS. hehehe. But really, I love Slackware, XP, and anything but FreeBSD. I don't know what it is...That and Mac never seem to go over well with me. But hey, thats just me, I'm not critizing anyone who uses those OS's, thats just the way I think about them.

Ooooh, OS/2, I love to use OS/2. It is really easy to write programs for. I wish they would make newer versions today...

I have never used a MAC so i can't say anything about that.

I like linux (just wish I knew more)

I mainly use windows (eww, can't believe that).
I find windows 2000 to be the best for networking
I find windows XP to be the best for everyday use.

Despite the obvious downsides, I like windows xp. My second favourite is probably mac os 9. I hate x. After nine, it became all freaky new age mac.... However, operating sys is not my forte.

I would have to agree with Sanders for once (lol that is scary).  I really like Windows XP.  Despite all the security holes and viruses it is a fairly good OS.

Even though its all fun and games bashing Microsoft because their OS is full of holes and stuff, you can't really take it to far. They made an OS, and wrote a decent GUI for it, and it works for your everyday stuff. I think we all would want something more stable, but Linux/Sun/Mac don't have enough shares and marketing. I know how hard it is to make an OS, (I'm currently writing the assembly to make it boot) I can't imagine the hell it is to write a decent GUI and all their other stuff.

Neither can Microsoft, so they don't even really try. :-P

If in fact Microsoft did steal the Mac GUI as some people seem to think, it seems that Mac would be the same. =P

Not really. :-P The GUI's of the 80s are vastly different from the ones of 2004.

I wish we could go back to the GUI's in the 80's, I liked how they looked. (Sun and OS/2 to be specific)

Nothing wrong with that.  Windows 2000 was a pretty good operating system.

Linux>XP

I use xp for windows compatibility... things like games and such...

but windows can be configured to a large extent and you can at times, you can get it just the way you want it, even though we all hate it, and almost all of us use it on some basis

I will prolly always use windows to a certian extent, though, unless software developers can invest in open source platforms.

Unfortunatly I will also probably use windows to some extent as well.  I wish that Linux or Mac had the software support that windows has.  Sure you can use an emulator but that can be slow and problematic...

Yeah, someone developed Virtual PC which is an XP Emulator for OS X.  I've used it a bit, it's not bad, mainly designed for word, outlook little things like that.  Definetly not for gaming.  The need to design an OS X emulator for XP.  I think there is a source forge project for it but from what i've herd it isn't any good
