Yeah so I just saw something about these computers by a company called Hip-e. Looks like something for people who nothing about computers other than IM, web browsing, and using only this company's mp3 player.

Yeah that is definatly for people who know nothing about computers.  The specs of the computer aren't that bad but they are pretty well hidden and it is definatly trying to profit off of the "you'll be cool if you use this product" technique.  I would like to see where this company goes in a few years from now.

I'm sure they'll do pretty well but I'm sure they're not going to have a turnout like dell or anything like that.

The computer bussiness can be funny. What may same like a pile of crap turns out to be huge and what we think is great turns out that it fails miserably. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if this Hip-E turned out to be a good seller if they can market it right.

Gateway doesn't have near the as many hardware problems as Dell does.  It is more software problems with gateway.

Yeah I know.  I was just saying that in general Dell computers have more hardware problems than gateway.  I know this from experience since am part owner of a computer store and work there most of the summer.
