What is the linux command to make an application such as VNC start up on boot.  I knew what it was a long time ago but have since forgotten it.  I am once again trying to depend a lot more on linux and would greatly be appricated.  Thanks a lot everyone.

O btw I am currently running Mandrake 10.0 on my linux box.  If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Dammit, I don't have my Linux box with me at the moment. There is a really easy way to do it, especially if you use KDE.

So, lets ask the obvious question...do you use KDE?

I think I have a Knoppix live CD in my laptop bag, later on tonight I'll boot it and check if you do use KDE.

I do use KDE but I would prefer to do it using ssh.  Well I guess it wouldn't hurt to know how to do it both ways.

I think you can do it by editing the /etc/inittab file, but I don't know the particulars of that operation.
