For those who don't know San Andreas is the latest Grand Theft Auto game and has been released a few days ago.  I wanted to know what everyone has thought about this game so far.  It looks like it could be fun for a few hours but then the fun would wear off after a little while.  I mean you can really only carry on with a series of games so long before there is nothing new and original to do with the game anymore.  This is based on what I have heard from other people and I invite people to tell everyone what they think of the game.

Also does anyone know if there are plans to release San Andreas on the PC and if so does anyone know the ETA?

I give it a major freakin big thumbs down. The 3rd one was a "new" breakthrough, and I could see that people would like it. Then came Vice City, the same [FILTER]crap[/FILTER] as 3. Now we have San Andreas. Now you can play as a black dude. Wow, great improvement Rockstar Games.

Do Azians steal cars?  Shouldn't it be more like GTA: Mexico City or something like that?

Okay... it could be Azns who float over from Asia and land in California. Along with a gang of border crossing Mexicans and some border crossing Cubans! smiley

Is that how you got to America JsutTechy? Border hopping with a Corona saddle bag?

Anyway, I'll give San Andreas one good part...They choose Guns n' Roses to be in their game. Gun n' Roses, yes, defiantely one of my favorite bands.

Yep, Radio-X is the best station on the game. It has Alice In Chains - Bones, and Guns N Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. Undisputedly one of the best GNR songs anyways. I've played it a little bit am pretty happy with it. Though I don't like the plot and all it's pretty good. You can finally swim, there's finally a whole new set of cars, including more bikes, monster trucks, and even some more planes.

Now when they put it on PC I'd like to see a mod somewhat like Vice City's GTA3 mod.

Do they have the real names of the cars, or do they still call them "Stinger" and "Bitchy Whore Car"?

they still have made up names.  It is probably due to licensing reasons and what not.  They would probably have to pay the car companies a percentage of the profit for using the names of their cars.

You're right, they would have to pay the companies of the cars a certain amount of money. But c'mon, whatever it costs is probably pocket change to Rockstar games.

Yeah but I think the Ferrari knockoff, the Chetah, is going to stay. It's been the same since just about, if not the, beginning.

GTA baghdad, You play as a terrorist who goes around steeling cars to turn into car bombs, Then you take those cars and drive them into American Troops.

EDIT: This merly an intrupretation on what I think  the GTA games are. They are teaching our youth to kill. We are making our own terriorists with this game... Pretty harsh opinion but you guys should be able to handle it.

Lol I think not.  Parents are just looking for a scapegoat instead of blaming themselves for being bad parents.  A good parent would make sure that their childen know right from wrong and that video games and the real world are too different things.  Video games do not pick up the gun and cock it for you.  You do that because you made the decision to do it.  I play violent video games all the time but you don't see me going around and killing people.  That is because I know that the video games and reality are two different things...

Just to add to Neb's analogy of how the video game doesn't pick up the gun and cock it for you:

If guns people, then I can blame misspells on my pencil.

It takes a human mind to affect whats going on. A gun could sit on the streets of Brooklyn for 5 years and never do anything, but then one day someone could pick it up and kill someone.

Video games can have an affect on a persons judgement but it is ultimatly a result of bad parenting.  If children doesn't learn good judgement from his/her parents then he/she may learn his/her sense of judgement from violent video games...
