I need a freeware program that will be able to tell me what websites a certain computer is going to. Anyone know of any?
It needs to be pretty well hidden. The person we want to track will start investigating if he finds something strange. I installed 1 previously but made the mistake of forgetting to take it out of the recent documents and he searched it online. Any help would be appreciative.

Check out Ethereal. Its a tracking program that was orignally used under Linux, but now there is a Windows version as well. I'm not sure how the Windows version works because I have only used it under Linux. Either way, its a great little tracking program that can give your more than the websites they are going to. You can even get their IM conversations.

Ace is right on with Ethereal. That is the MOST powerful network tool I've ever seen.

I have a router that I am plugged into and then there is another line that is running from that router to a hub. I don't seem to be getting any information from the computer on the hub (ie the one I want to get data from). Is it because the router is a switch? Am I going to need to hook it up to the hub as well?

Yes that would be because the router is a switch. One way to do it would be to hook your computer up to the hub as well. Another way would be to use some sort of APR Poisoning program. Basically what APR Poisoning does is it tricks the a switch/router into sending all the requested info to your computer as well as to the computer that requested it.

Would I install the APR Poisoning program on the computer doing the tracking, the computer I want to track, or the router that we are all plugged into.
Any additional information on how to do this would be greatful. Didn't see anything on a quick google search.

Couldn't you just use the history. Their's options in IE I think somewhere that you can set that doesn't allow the history to be deleted

There isn't an option in IE ifself but there is a registry key that you change / delete that will make it unable for anyone to delete the history.

I applied that registry hack. I found it the other day, but you are still able to browse to the folder that stores the history and delete it that way.

LOL. That could be a bit of a problem. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
