Yesterday, while browsing around CompUSA, I found a nice looking 2.1 set. My mom saw me looking at it, and she pulled it off the shelf and headed to the register to pay for it. (Don't ask) I have no idea how much this system cost, but it is nice. The subwoofer puts up more than enough sound to crack your window and make you deaf, and the two speakers, (though the size of normal desktop speakers) pump out everything else and look really cool. They are made by a company named Labtec.

Are you making fun of me again because I have broken windows before with my Velodyne woofer cheesy  It has also gotten me quite a few public nuisance tickets...

Nice... I've got the Logitech z2200 and it sure pumps out some sound.  It's 2.1.. and I use it on my notebook for playing MP3s from itunes.

That's pretty tight.  It's weird how sometimes your just looking at stuff, don't even say anything and your parents buy it.  It must be some telekenesis... My sound system is my Zalman 5.1 headphones. w00t!

Headphones are very nice though. If you live in an apartment or a dorm they would be perfect. I'm not sure the neighbors in the apartment next to you would like to hear your music at 12 in the morning.

Well that is true.  I know that from personal experience.

I use headphones all the time for anything. I bought them as a replacement for the ones on my cd player / ones I use on my computer most of the time. I ended up breaking the original pair (don't ask) and just picked these up for $20. A few bucks goes far sometimes. Besides, I couldn't use my speakers for the music and games I play anyways heh. I usually blare everything from Metallica to Unreal so it kinda annoys everyone within 100 feet.

Dude how can you stand $20 headphones Shocked  They sound like crap especially when used at higher volumes.  I spent at least 60 bucks on my headphones.  My Sennheiser's cost 200 bucks but sound awsome.  Then again most people would probably consider me an audiophile...

Probably not considering it comes through these Cambridge SoundWorks speakers that came with this computer Tongue. Though the ones that came with my cd player were pretty weak heh. These have a lot more bass than those little RCA e-clips.

Noise Cancelling headphones are over rated.  I have never had a use for them.  Plus techy you also have to worry about your mom destroying them/taking them away because you can't hear her yelling at you  Tongue

I can barely hear her when I have them off sometimes. Usually I reply with a "what?" then eventually remember what the person said right before they reply...

So why don't you pause for a second, and then answer them?  Tongue

I do the same thing all the time.  It must be one of those traits that a lot of males have, like selective hearing...
