The new version of the F@H console clients was released a couple of weeks ago.  You can get them from http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html

Please note that now the windows console has the ability to be installed as a service without a need for third party software.

Is the new version only a console version?

Why is that bad? Most of the time console stuff is faster, and it saves the coders from having to write a crap load of Windows API. (Believe me, its pretty annoying)

Console does fold faster as I recall but most people would rather have the GUI being it's simpler and is easier to navigate if you don't know what you're doing.

no....its way harder. you have to UNinstall the old one. then download this one. and install it. and then you have to set it up again to be in the startup folder and whatnot.....way too much work for me... ill just wait till the next version.

You do know how much work it would take to organize a club?  I am sure it would be too much work for you...
